Chentar is a Thai artisan who, after studying law, discovered ceramics in a traditional workshop in Chiang Mai. He was immediately seduced by working with clay and the possibilities of expression it offers. Having since settled in Paris, he passed his CAP as a ceramic turner after training at the Atelier Chemins de la Céramique.
Inspired by his rural Asian roots but also by the Western aesthetics he has begun to absorb, he creates unique pieces or pieces in small series, all handmade in his Parisian workshop. His minimalist and refined style highlights the clay, often left raw, which he enhances with enamels that he creates himself from unprocessed minerals and oxides.
In parallel with his research and creation work, Chentar welcomes students to pass on his know-how and share his passion.
