Discover the foundations of clay sculpture while giving free rein to your own artistic creation. Benefit from tailor-made advice in the intimate setting of this course. The sessions are held in the magnificent Slow Potter workshop, surrounded by greenery and bathed in natural light. It is an incomparable experience to immerse yourself in the world of ceramics and escape the stress of city life for a few hours. This workshop is for a maximum of 3 to 5 participants.
During this workshop, your instructor will teach you how to handcraft a ceramic piece that you can then collect and take home. You will choose yourself what you want to create, drawing on your imagination or drawing inspiration from the many ideas that will be shared with you: coffee set, tealight holder, pendant, plate… almost everything lends itself to modeling.
First, you will learn some of the techniques used by artisan potters, including pinching, coil shaping and the plate technique. You will then use one or more of these techniques to create the work that you have previously imagined and drawn. Secondly, you can, if you wish, paint your piece with slip.
At the end of the session, your pieces will be fired and enameled and you can collect them from the workshop after about a month – you can also, if you have not had enough time to decorate your pieces, book a session. complementary slip!
